Huge Heart Quilt
The Huge Heart quilt has been on my mind for over a year. It's gone through several changes, from complex triangle piecing to what is now a beginner friendly pattern. It includes basic square piecing and a few half-square triangle units.
Plus, it's like getting 3 patterns for 1 because each quilt size within the pattern has a different sized heart.
For the cover quilt, I made the large throw size. I had been drawn to the orange and purple color duo lately, and it went perfect with the backing fabric I wanted to use.
Which is Tula Pink's, Pedal to the Metal from the Homemade Collection.

To match the orange and purple to the backing fabric, I used Tula Pink's solids in Hibiscus and Freesia.

It might only be me, but I'm nuts about this color duo. I really love the finished quilt top and the way it pops against this blue building.
