Introducing Beary O’Cheers… from the Beary Bunch Block Series
Meet Beary O’Cheers. They’re brimming with St. Patrick’s Day cheer... from their clover-adorned hat to the raised glass and rainbow heart feet. They’re a festive bear with a playful personality and a timeless holiday feel.
With cheerful details and a lively expression, Beary O’Cheers makes a joyful addition to seasonal decor... perfect for makers looking to stitch something fun, celebratory, and full of charm for March.
The block uses traditional piecing with the stitch-and-flip method, making it approachable for confident beginners and enjoyable for experienced makers alike.

Design Notes from the Studio
Beary O’Cheers was designed to capture the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day with a focus on fun and celebration. Imagine them holding a freshly poured glass, as if celebrating at a lively pub... while the rainbow heart feet and clover-adorned hat are playful nods to lucky charms. These details give the bear personality and a sense of storytelling while keeping it visually balanced.
This bear features elements from the original Beary Bunch quilt, the Original Bear face and the Love Bear feet altered with rainbow colors, which maintains cohesion with the series while highlighting Beary O’Cheers’ unique charm.

Color Notes: Confetti Cotton Solids
Beary O’Cheers’ palette uses Riley Blake Designs Confetti Cotton Solids to create a festive and cheerful look that emphasizes St. Patrick’s Day while keeping the block visually balanced.
- Spring Green – Bear Fabric
- Green Smoothie – Bear Highlight Fabric
- Licorice, Cotton, Emerald City – Accent A-C Fabrics (hat with clover)
- Cider, Vanilla, Beehive – Accent D-F Fabrics (glass)
- Super Pink, Riley Fuchsia, Iris, Breeze, Lucky, Ducky, Tangerine, Red Hen – Accent G-N Fabrics (rainbow heart feet)
- Thistle – Background Fabric
The soft greens ground the bear, while the glass and rainbow heart feet bring in playful pops of color. The Thistle background provides a clean backdrop that allows the vibrant rainbow heart feet and other details to stand out.

Sewing Thoughts
This block uses the stitch-and-flip method throughout. Pay attention to the direction of your flips, especially in the glass section, to keep angles aligned and the details clear. A moment to double-check placement helps the playful elements stay sharp.
