Introducing Miss Beary Limone... from the Beary Bunch Block Series

Some blocks arrive loudly. Others step in gently and win you over with their details.

Miss Beary Limone is the second kind.

With her bow perched sweetly above her head and a tiny baby chick nestled carefully in its cracked eggshell, she carries that quiet, sunny charm that feels just right for early spring. Not flashy. Not fussy. Just thoughtful and full of heart.

She features the Original Face with Love Feet from the original Beary Bunch Quilt Pattern... a subtle detail, but one that adds just a touch of extra sweetness to her stance.

From the Studio

When I started pulling fabric for her, I knew I wanted warmth... something soft but not sleepy.

Spring can sometimes drift into pale-on-pale, but I wanted her to feel fresh and intentional. A little bold in the background. A little layered in the details.

She’s sweet, yes. But she’s also confident.

That balance matters.

Fabric Notes – Confetti Cottons

  • Bear: Sand Dollar
  • Bear Highlights: Light Gray
  • Background: Riley Hot Pink
  • Bow: Breeze, Seaglass & Deep Water
  • Baby Chick in Egg: Riley White, Canary, Ducky, Cinnamon & Licorice

Sand Dollar gives her that soft, sandy warmth... not quite cream, not quite beige, which keeps her feeling grounded. Light Gray adds gentle shaping without pulling attention away from her expression.

And that Riley Hot Pink background? That’s the pop. It lifts the entire block and keeps the sweetness from feeling too delicate.

Her bow blends Breeze, Seaglass, and Deep Water for a layered look that adds depth without overwhelming her face. And the chick... oh, the chick. Tiny pieces of Canary, Ducky, Cinnamon, and Licorice bring personality to life in the smallest details.

Those little elements are where the storytelling really lives.

A Few Sewing Thoughts

Miss Beary Limone uses the familiar Beary Bunch construction and stitch-and-flip techniques throughout, so the overall process feels approachable and steady.

The baby chick introduces smaller pieces that benefit from careful trimming and pressing. Taking a few extra seconds there makes a big difference in the final result.

She’s not complicated... just detailed in the right places.

Styling Ideas

She pairs beautifully with Sir Beary Harey, the other spring-inspired pal... together they feel balanced, playful, and ready for the season.

Or give her a different bow palette and see what happens. She’s surprisingly adaptable for someone so sweet.
