Introducing Miss Beary Rosey… from the Beary Bunch Block Series

Meet Miss Beary Rosey. She is quietly romantic, with sweet details... from the adorable bow perched atop her head to the single rose held in her heart-shaped vase. She’s a Valentine-inspired bear that feels both timeless and tender.

Her soft details and delicate accessories make her a delightful addition to any holiday decor, perfect for makers looking to add a Valentine’s centerpiece full of warmth and charm.

The block uses traditional piecing and the stitch-and-flip method, making it approachable for confident beginners and enjoyable for experienced makers alike.

Design Notes from the Studio

When designing Miss Beary Rosey, I focused on capturing her romantic and tender personality. Holding a single rose in her heart-shaped vase adds a subtle yet expressive detail, complemented by the sweet bow atop her head.

She features the Original Bear Face and Love Bear Feet from the first Beary Bunch quilt pattern, maintaining cohesion with the series while highlighting her own unique charm.

Color Notes: Confetti Cotton Solids

For Miss Beary Rosey, I used Riley Blake Designs Confetti Cotton Solids to enhance her soft, romantic vibe while keeping the Valentine-inspired theme. Here’s the exact palette used for this block:

  • Sand Dollar – Bear Fabric
  • Light Gray – Bear Highlight Fabric
  • Carbon – Background Fabric
  • Super Pink – Accent A Fabric (Bow and Vase)
  • Tractor Red – Accent B Fabric (Bow Highlight and Rose)
  • Cherry Tart – Accent C Fabric (Rose Depth)
  • Woodland – Accent D Fabric (Rose Stem and Leaf)

These shades give Miss Beary Rosey her tender, romantic look, with the soft Sand Dollar and Light Gray emphasizing her cuddly softness, while Super Pink and Tractor Red add a Valentine’s pop, and Cherry Tart and Woodland provide natural depth.

Sewing Thoughts

This block uses the stitch-and-flip method. Pay attention to the direction of your flips to ensure corners and angles align correctly. Proper orientation keeps Miss Beary Rosey’s bow, rose, and vase coming together smoothly, preserving her tender charm.
