Introducing Mr Beary Bliss... from the Beary Bunch Block Series
Meet Mr Beary Bliss. He’s dapper, thoughtful, and trying his best to keep his nerves in check… from the top hat perched neatly atop his head, to the ring box he holds close with that showstopper diamond ring.
He’s a wedding-inspired bear with a nervously romantic spirit.
He feels like that moment… standing at the front of the aisle, taking a deep breath while waiting for the bride to appear.

His Story
Mr Beary Bliss was inspired by the quiet side of love.
The steady kind. The meaningful kind. The kind that doesn’t always need grand gestures to feel real.
There’s something tender about him, like someone standing in the middle of a life-changing moment, trying to stay composed while their heart is racing just a little faster than usual.
His story is stitched into the details... the carefully held ring box, the polished top hat, the subtle touches of pink that quietly tie him back to Mrs Beary True-Bliss.
Even his expression tells part of the story.
Using the optional grumpy face from the original Beary Bunch Quilt Pattern, he feels less grumpy and more… deeply focused. Like he’s replaying his vows one last time to make sure he gets every word right.
He carries that feeling of standing at the beginning of forever… hopeful, nervous, and completely certain all at once.

Design Notes from the Studio
Mr Beary Bliss features the optional grumpy face paired with the Love Bear feet from the original Beary Bunch Quilt Pattern, creating a balance between emotion and sweetness.
His top hat was designed to feel classic and structured, while the layered ribbon accents subtly connect him back to Mrs Beary True-Bliss without making the two blocks feel identical.
The ring details were intentionally simple but symbolic, a diamond, a band, and a small ring case ready for one unforgettable moment.
The pattern uses familiar techniques and the stitch and flip method, making it approachable for confident beginners and enjoyable for experienced makers alike.

Sewing Thoughts
The top hat ribbion is where precision really pays off.
With several narrow pieces working together, accurate trimming and consistent seam allowances will help those staying crisp and clean.
The smaller details, especially the ring and ring box, benefit from slowing down just a bit so each shape stays clear and recognizable.
It’s a thoughtful block to piece together… and especially satisfying once all the little details click into place.
