Lil’ Beary Bunch Quilt… the cover version
I'm so excited to introduce one of my newest designs: the Lil’ Beary Bunch Quilt Pattern! This quilt is sweet, spunky, and full of charm… with slightly smaller bear blocks that pack just as much personality as ever.
Think of it as the spirited little sibling to my Beary Bunch Quilt Pattern, with smaller blocks, the same fun layout, and a whole lot of adorable attitude.
For my cover version, I made the lap size and used Tula Pink’s Designer Essentials Solids (aka: True Colors and Unicorn Poop) for the bears and All Star Pom-Poms for the background. Because what’s more fun than a quilt that looks like gumdrops exploded in a candy shop?
Smaller Blocks, Big Personality
This quilt pattern features the same expressive bear block styling you’ll find from the Beary Bunch Quilt Pattern… squared paws, rounded ears, and faces full of charm, but mini-sized for a totally different scale and feel.
You can mix and match from three bear block styles to give your quilt its own story:
- The Original Bear Block, sweet and classic
- The Love Bear Block, with heart-filled details
- And the Optional: Grumpy Bear Block, for those days when your bear needs a little extra sass
Whether you want to stitch a row of cheerful bears, add a hidden love note, or sneak in a tiny grump, this quilt gives you space to play.
A Little Bit Tula, a Whole Lotta Fun
The bears in this quilt are sewn up in Tula Pink’s Designer Essentials Solids, bursting with bright personality and vibrant color. But the background? That’s where the sugar rush kicks in.
The All Star Pom-Poms print adds joyful movement, texture, and pure candy-coated fun… like confetti tossed across a gumdrop rainbow. It makes each bear feel like they’re popping off the quilt with their own flavor.
And the fun didn’t stop on the front, this version is backed in Tula Pink’s Big Charmer; bringing a big, bold heart to the back side. I finished it off with Disco Stripe for the binding, because a playful stripe is always the cherry on top.

I made the lap size, which is cozy, colorful, and satisfying to finish. It's big enough to wrap up in, small enough to quilt at home, and absolutely perfect for gifting.
The Lil’ Beary Bunch Quilt Pattern includes instructions for four sizes:
- Baby
- Lap
- Throw
- Large Throw/Full
Each size features the same block-based layout as the original Beary Bunch Quilt Pattern, with the blocks scaled down for a lighter, quicker, and even more playful feel.
