Send With Love Quilt... featuring Foundation 2 by Shayla Wolf

I’m so honored to share a brand-new fabric collection today, Foundation 2 by Shayla Wolf of Sassafras Lane Designs for Windham Fabrics. It’s a sequel to her debut line, and once again, it’s bursting with bold color, thoughtful neutrals, and hand-drawn details inspired by her architectural background. It’s the kind of collection that makes both my color loving and architectural loving heart very happy.

Before I studied graphic design, I actually began my college journey in architecture. My appreciation for structure, balance, and visual rhythm has never left me. That same idea is what I love about quilting, and why I chose the Send With Love Quilt Pattern for this project. The heart blocks share love; the rainbow layout celebrates hope and joy; and Foundation 2 ties it all together with architectural linework that gives the quilt its foundation.

That’s why this collection felt too special to stop at just the original quilt pattern design. I wanted to capture the entire rainbow of colors in one quilt. So, I created an add-on layout that transforms the pattern into a full-spectrum celebration, highlighting every shade in the collection.
