Valentines Bags... featuring Red Delicious
The Red Delicious fabric is a sumptuous blend of rich reds and creamy whites, delicate prints, and elegant florals that come together to create a truly exquisite collection. This luxurious line of fabrics evokes romance and sophistication making it the perfect choice for creating something stunning for Valentine's Day.
I’m blissfully honored to share my latest creations made with the gorgeous Red Delicious collection by Riley Blake Designs.
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, less than 10 weeks away, oh my! I wanted to craft up some stunning Valentine’s Day accessories. A sleek and stylish clutch and a statement piece that everyone will want.
Having a vision in my mind for the bag shapes and sizes that I wanted, I sketched out the concepts. Out came these Valentine's bags that are sure to add a touch of glamour and sophistication to any outfit.
Envelope Clutch
Crafted from the luxurious Red Delicious fabric, this sleek and stylish envelope clutch was made using all the delectable creamy whites from the collection.
To add a touch of timelessness to the clutch, I pieced narrow stripes of fabric together for the outside of the bag. To make this construction process easier I used the “Pellon 2 Sided Fusible Flex Foam”, which allowed me to iron the lining in place on one side of the foam, then stitch and iron the strips down on the front side.
Heart Shaped Bag
Both playful and sophisticated, a heart shaped bag, adds a little tongue-in-cheek touch to any outfit. For a bold statement piece with the Red Delicious fabric, I chose to use the Red Apple Tart floral for the main body of the bag.
To embody the essence of romance and luxury, I used gold hardware for both bags.
So, whether you are a hopeless romantic or just a lover of red fabric, this luxurious Red Delicious fabric collection is for you.

I'd really like to write a pattern for the Heart shaped bag, if time allows next year. {Fingers Crossed}
