With the New Year underway that can only mean Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Now's the perfect time to get started on a special Valentines project and I have the best quilt pattern available now just for that project.

I'm super excited to be sharing with you today my newest quilt pattern, Send with Love, which was my first make as a Riley Blake Designs Influencer

The Send with Love quilt pattern is a fun play on sending a heart text message or liking something on social media. Send with Love makes a large throw sized quilt at 62x72". The quilt pattern is skilled for a confident beginner as it involves the stitch and flip method, along with chain piecing for the scrappy version.

Now let me explain the making of the scrappy version, using my first fabric provided by Riley Blake Designs...

When I saw the Heirloom Red collection, I knew immediately that I had to use it on this new quilt pattern of mine. I had already made the Send with Love cover quilt using solids, which you can read more about by clicking here, but I wanted to showcase more of the fabrics within the Heirloom Red collection by My Mind's Eye. So, I looked over the already designed pattern and crafted up a scrappy version. Both versions are available in the pattern.

With the new Send with Love scrappy version designed, I could now select which fabrics, from the Heirloom Red collection that I wanted to use. Heirloom Red is filled with gorgeous reds and berries that are contrasted with striking whites and a sprinkling of grays that create this timeless, but modern, fabric collection.

The richness of the reds just spoke my name, so I couldn't help but use all twelve fabric SKU’s! Then for a contrast I selected the most simplistic white fabrics from Heirloom Red to use for the text message and hearts.

I’m beyond honored and thrilled to be embarking on this new journey as a Riley Blake Designs Influencer! This Heirloom Red collection was a dream to work with, I still can’t get over how stunning the reds are. I’m so glad I was able to select this fabric collection and that it pushed me to create a scrappy version of the Send with Love quilt pattern. I hope you like this quilt pattern as much as I adore it!
